Throughout history the labyrinth has represented many things to many cultures and have been used for diverse reasons. Egyptian tomb passages some say are a labyrinth to the underworld. The Greek mythic battle between Theseus and Minotaur occured in a labyrinth. In India,Scotland,and Britain it is used as protection to ward of evil spirits. It has been used to express Feminine Wisdom and as a spiritual tool practiced by Mary. It can represent death and rebirth, returning to the cosmic circle of the "womb". It can represent the spiritual journey;going inward to your core center an returning out from another state with which to travel on. It can represent the letting go and the new empty vessel. It can be your sacred space to connect and honor your divinity. It can be a powerful place to gather and collaborate ceremony and ritual. It can be a blessing to your stewardship to your piece of Earth. It can be a beautiful visual for your garden. It can be your alter. It can be your gift to the nature spirits. It is a universal tool that is representative in a physical way adapting to any particular culture,race,religion,times, speaking loudly to our hearts what is in the unseen awaiting you to bring it in. It can be made of whatever materials you are drawn to and birthed with whatever intentions you create. Whatever it is to you or represents through you may you be blessed with the richness of this beautiful, powerful, symbol in a way that feeds your divinity through your humanity. Weaving the dance between the physical and spiritual gift of life.
