Wind whips the trees as it speaks

on battered and bruised knees

I collect the kindling

offerings to the Fires

celebrations to the branches continuing higher

gratitude for the fallen

in service, pride with no defeat

fueling  the continued beat

walk on

hearts strong

communications complete

awaiting another round

silence, full of sound

where Sky and Earth
